Stone Island Releases its SS17 “Hand Corrosion” Collection

Stone Island has released its Spring Summer ’17 collection titled “Hand Corrosion” featuring an incredible artisan design process, making each piece unique and unrepeatable.

The artisan finish used exclusively for its new Spring Summer collection is described by the brand as a three-step process. The garments are dyed in their respective colors, then a corrosive paste is randomly applied over the garment and the icon Stone Island badge.

Through extensive steaming and washing, the paste leaves behind a remarkably beautiful used-look pattern with residual dye highlighting the texture and architecture of the individual garments. Stone Island claims, that through its hand application of the paste, each garment will be fully unique in its corrosion pattern.

The collection itself features a range of cotton satin outerwear jackets, knitwear, sweatshirts and bottoms. You can find our favorite pieces below:
