Nike and Virgil Abloh from Off White have finally confirmed more details about their upcoming sneaker collaboration. While we already brought you all the details for the Off White Air Jordan 1 a couple of weeks ago, Nike and Virgil Abloh have now confirmed more details about the ten sneakers releasing soon.
The sneakers will be released in two separate release packs. The first one is titled “REVEALING” and will include the Air Jordan 1, Nike Air Max 90, Nike Air Presto, Nike Air VaporMax and Nike Blazer Mid. The pack will be pre-released during the SS18 fashion weeks in New York (September 9-13), London (September 18-22), Milan (September 21-25) and Paris (September 26-30).
The second release pack is titled “GHOSTING” and includes the Nike Air Max 97, React Hyperdunk, Air Force 1, Zoom Vaporfly and Chuck Taylor All-Star (owned by Nike). All 10 silhouettes will then be available at NikeLab stores and select retailers worldwide in November.
According to Yeezy Mafia, the sneakers will cost between $130 and $250 depending on the model. Based on Virgil Abloh’s interview with Nike, the Air Jordan 1 can be interpreted as the flagship sneaker of the release. Virgil stated:
“We were enamored with Air Jordans. Michael Jordan was larger than life — he was Superman to me. My entire design background and ethos came from the ‘90s.”
“The Jordan 1 was done in one design session. I work in a very like dream-like state. I see it, and it’s done.”
The release will most certainly see surging resell prices, as StockX currently ranks the Off White Air Jordan 1 at a current highest asking price of $3,000 and a current highest bid of $2,000.
